An Invitation to Reconciliation

Since Adam and Eve fell from Grace long ago, we have never been the same: we all suffer from the pain and sorrow of sin.  But we have been given a healing remedy:  the Sacrament of Confession.  Jesus gave us this wonderful gift to help heal our broken human nature and protect it against the wiles of sin and of the devil. We are in possession of a tremendous fortune with this wonderful Sacrament.  Will you but come and claim it?

The Sacrament of Confession literally and truly cleanses our souls from sin.  When you go to Confession, you have a chance to give all of your pain and brokenness to Jesus.  And then, once this is done, the priest says those words, “I absolve you,” (You!) “in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”  In this instant, the everything is erased, your soul is wiped clean.  That is what Confession does.  It gives us a second chance.  It reconciles us with God.  And God, the Good, the Merciful, the Loving God, will forgive.  Take this opportunity.  Receive the healing that comes with this beautiful Sacrament.
