Once a month, Holy Family Parish will be highlighting a homily from one of our priests and publishing it on our YouTube Channel to help people on their walk with Christ. In the homily below, Fr. Nate Edquist preaches on being motivated to follow Jesus. We invite you to consider becoming a part of our team of Hospitality Hosts. Below, Katie Shannon, our team chair, speaks about the training. Be sure to be there on Sunday, October 24th, 3PM at the Sacred Heart Activity Center. Hospitality is an important part of the Christian Life. As members of the Body of Christ, we are called to serve others. Hospitality during Mass is a simple and beautiful way for all of us to serve. Holy Family Parish will be sending a monthly "Hospitality Moment" for parishioners to reflect on and put into action when they come to Mass. Together with Christ, we can bless everyone on their walk to Him! The Sign of Peace "Love one another; even as I have loved you." John 13:34 During Mass, when we are called to offer a sign of peace to each other, most of us tend to look first to those close to us - the family and friends that we are sitting next to. Oftentimes, however, there are individuals that came alone, or are new to the parish and they are left standing by themselves waiting for someone to recognize them. This Sunday, when it is time to offer a sign of peace, turn first and look around to see if there is someone by themselves and greet them first. This is a beautiful way to show love and hospitality to those in need.

Matthew 10:40 When we say "Hello" and welcome someone at Mass, we are not just welcoming our neighbor, but we are welcoming Jesus Christ Himself. Next time you are at Mass, turn to someone you don't know, smile and say "Hello." Let them know you are glad they are there.
