Notre Dame School of Architecture Charrette at St. Peter Resource Center on the 5-22-23 Weekly Update

The Notre Dame School of Architecture Charrette
will take place Monday through Thursday, May 22-25. The charrette team will begin with a tour of the city, as well as meetings with City engineering and planning professionals, historic preservation, and the Indiana Department of Transportation.  The team will study downtown and adjacent neighborhoods with a focus on creating a vibrant public realm as well as addressing critical housing needs. The goal of the exercise is to formulate a vision and implementation approach to preserve the heart of La Porte's historic center, making it a reliable place to work, live and invest.
 
Three in-person public events will be held at St. Peter’s Ministry Resource Center (1101 Michigan Avenue), as well as two presentations available via Zoom.

Fit Shepherds aims to help every man in our community be in the best physical and spiritual shape of his life. Fit Shepherds are formed through demanding workouts, fraternity, and discipleship. We meet every Saturday morning at 6:30am at the Boston Middle School outdoor track. All men 16 and older are welcome.

Mon May 29th 9:00am - 9:30am, St. Joseph Cemetery, 901 C St, La Porte.

Annual Memorial Day Mass will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery on Monday May 29th, at 9:00am, weather permitting.  Coffee and doughnuts will be served after Mass.

Remember, in case of rain, or other inclement weather, the Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church. St. Joseph’s Cemetery is located between “A” & “C” Streets and Ninth and Tenth Streets. Please bring your own chair.
