Position:  Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor
Holy Family Parish, LaPorte, IN


Terms:  Part-Time Employee (up to 29 hours/week)
Education:  Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience

Job Description
The Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor serves as a professional administrator and strategic leader at Holy Family Parish.  In this role, the supervisor will work with the Pastor/Administrator to address the physical and operational needs of Holy Family’s three church locations, in accordance with the parish’s mission.  The supervisor also oversees and coordinates the work of Holy Family’s maintenance staff.

Responsibilities
BUILDINGS MANAGEMENT
  • Oversees project management and major repairs and renovations in accordance with Diocesan policies
  • Manages yearly schedule of maintenance projects and routine needs
  • Oversees maintenance staff
  • Is responsible for managing any leasing, rental, and outside use of parish facilities
  • Serves as point of reference for safety and security needs of the parish

FACILITIES BUDGET MANAGEMENT
  • Works to ensure that maintenance contracts are negotiated and fulfilled
  • Oversees necessary purchases related to facilities and maintenance

Requirements
  • Experience in managing maintenance projects
  • Undergraduate degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrate understanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church’s teaching, mission, and values
  • Strong verbal and written communications, interpersonal, muti-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to identify opportunities for improvement, evaluate issues and situations, and propose and implement solutions

About the Employer
Holy Family Parish is a new Catholic parish in LaPorte, Indiana, created by the union of the former Sacred Heart, St. Peter, and St. Joseph Parishes in 2021.  Current ministry focuses on uniting the three communities and building a vibrant parish identity focused on being a family and being disciples.
