About St. Peter Church

St. Peter's was the first Catholic church in LaPorte.   Founded in 1853 by Holy Cross fathers ministering to a small group of Catholic settlers, it has grown into a strong and vibrant Catholic community.  Springing from the early years as a mission church, St. Peter's is dedicated to serving others in word and action.  We know that our history has shaped us and helped us to become people of God.  St. Peter's is now one of three churches that makes up Holy Family Parish.  To learn more about the the founding of the parish, explore the link below.
