Stewardship of Prayer
at LaPorte Catholic Church

Stewardship of Prayer
Stewardship of Time & Talent
Stewardship of Treasure
"Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."     1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Stewardship of Prayer

Picture
We need to remember that our Spiritual Life needs care and commitment just like every other part of our lives.  Prayer is a key component of our Spiritual Life and needs to become a part of our daily routine.

Developing a daily prayer life is so important that it is mentioned over 250 times in Scripture.
Our goals and commitments to prayer need to be realistic and challenging.  Try a way of praying that you have not tried before.  Try more time in prayer  and make it part of your daily routine.
During the  Stewardship of Prayer campaign, we spend 4 weeks using prayer, bulletin articles and witness talks to help us reflect on  our own personal commitment to prayer.   The following resources are used as a guide:

Weekend 4: Commitment Weekend
This is the weekend we consider what our personal commitment to prayer will be.  Each person is invited to submit a commitment card.  They will be available at each church.  Completed commitment cards can be left in the drop boxes at the church or at the church offices.  They can also be filled out online by clicking the links below:

Glorify! evening of prayer and Adoration

Join as a parish family in prayer.
As a part of our Stewardship of Prayer campaign, spend time with the Lord as you reflect about how you are called to live your prayer life. Prayer, Adoration, Music, and Confession will be available through the evening. Prayer petition cards will be provided for you to leave your personal petitions at the altar so our parish family can pray for them. Stop by for a few minutes, an hour, or stay for the entire time.

Stewardship Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for the spirit of discipleship among us. Help me to drop my nets and follow you. Lord Jesus Christ, you gave me everything I need to carry out your will. Draw me closer to you. Lord Jesus Christ, you give me the courage and strength to bear the burden of ridicule, torture, and persecution from non-believers and the evil one. Help me to be strong. Lord Jesus Christ, you send me to proclaim the good news. Teach me to be faithful in my words and action. Amen
